überdies vs außerdem
also / besides
'außerdem' and 'überdies' both add another point. 'außerdem' is neutral and very common in everyday language. 'überdies' means almost the same thing, but sounds more formal and a bit more written. In a normal conversation, people usually say 'außerdem'. In a report, an application, or a factual text, 'überdies' can sound more natural when you want to mention another reason.
