'Angepasst' is the past participle of the verb 'anpassen' (to adapt). It therefore describes a state that is the result of an adaptation process.
Die Kleidung muss an das kalte Wetter angepasst werden.
The clothing must be adapted to the cold weather.
You can recognize the meaning from the context. If 'angepasst' refers to things (e.g. plans, technology), it means 'made suitable'. If it critically refers to people's behavior, it means 'conformist'.

'geeignet' and 'angepasst' can both mean that something fits a situation. 'geeignet' generally says that something is right or suitable for a purpose. 'angepasst' emphasizes that something has been changed or is oriented toward certain conditions. Clothing, for example, can be adapted to the weather, and a text to a specific level. For people, 'angepasst' can also sound negative if someone adjusts too much to others. For a neutral check of suitability for a purpose, 'geeignet' is usually more natural; when adaptation to an environment is important, 'angepasst' fits better.
