A form of aggressive, often public and repeated criticism or abuse directed against a person, group, or thing. It involves verbal attacks that frequently take place in the media or on the internet.

Mobbing refers to systematically and repeatedly bullying or excluding a person in a social environment. Bashing emphasizes aggressive verbal attacks, which often take place publicly. Mobbing is the better fit for ongoing social bullying, while Bashing is used for repeated public abuse.
