'der Termin' and 'das Meeting' can both have to do with planning and calendars, but they are not the same thing. A Termin is a fixed point in time: for a doctor's appointment, a conversation, a submission, or also a meeting. A Meeting is a planned discussion, usually at work, where people talk about topics or prepare decisions. The words can be confused because a Meeting almost always also has a Termin. But not every Termin is a Meeting. For the point in time, you say 'Termin'; for the discussion itself, you say 'Meeting'.
