rausfinden vs erfahren
to learn / experience
'erfahren' and 'rausfinden' can both mean that you get a piece of information. The difference lies in the path to the information. 'erfahren' is often used when someone tells you something or when news arrives. 'rausfinden' fits more when you search, ask, think, or check something yourself. Learners may confuse the words because in both cases, you end up with new knowledge. As a simple guide: you 'erfährt' something through a message; you 'findet etwas raus' through your own search.
