A personal way of looking at and judging a situation, problem, or topic; a point of view or perspective.

The word is built very logically. It consists of 'die Sicht' (view) and 'die Weise' (way). So it literally means 'the way in which one sees something.'

'Sichtweise' (perspective) is often combined with adjectives that describe the kind of perspective, for example 'eine persönliche' (a personal), 'eine andere' (a different), 'eine neue' (a new), or 'eine wirtschaftliche Sichtweise' (an economic perspective).
Aus wirtschaftlicher Sichtweise ist die Entscheidung verständlich.
From an economic perspective, the decision is understandable.
To say whose perspective it is, German often uses the genitive or the preposition 'von' (of/from). To adopt a perspective, one says 'aus einer Sichtweise' (from a perspective).
Das ist die Sichtweise der Geschäftsführung.
That is the perspective of management.
view / opinion
Both words refer to a personal assessment of a topic. Ansicht is usually a specific opinion on a question, whereas Sichtweise describes more strongly the perspective from which one considers the topic. Use “Ansicht” for the opinion and “Sichtweise” for the underlying perspective.
Durch seine Sichtweise verstehe ich das Problem jetzt aus einem anderen Blickwinkel.
His perspective helps me understand the problem from a different angle now.
Meine Ansicht zu diesem Vorschlag hat sich nach dem Gespräch geändert.
My view on this proposal changed after the conversation.
