'Überbringen' (to deliver / convey) is an inseparable verb. The prefix 'über-' remains firmly attached to the verb stem 'bringen' (to bring) in all sentence forms and tenses.
Er überbrachte die Nachricht persönlich.
He delivered the message in person.
This verb almost always needs two objects: a person in the dative (to whom?) and the message or object in the accusative (what?). The structure is: subject + überbringt + dative object + accusative object.
Der Postbote überbrachte mir (Dativ) ein wichtiges Paket (Akkusativ).
The mail carrier delivered an important package (accusative) to me (dative).
'Überbringen' (to deliver) sounds more formal and often more ceremonial than 'geben' (to give) or 'bringen' (to bring). It is used for important, official, or personally significant occasions where the manner of the handover matters.

The diplomat will deliver a message to the president.

to hand over / to vomit
Übergeben focuses mainly on the moment when an item passes from one person to another. Überbringen places more emphasis on bringing it to the recipient, often on an important or formal occasion. Use übergeben for the handover itself and überbringen for bringing something to the recipient.
Der Bote überbrachte das Geschenk dem Empfänger persönlich in seinem Büro.
The messenger personally delivered the gift to the recipient in his office.
Der Bote übergab das Geschenk am Empfang an eine Mitarbeiterin.
The messenger handed the gift to an employee at the reception desk.
