'Geschäftsführerin' and 'Unternehmerin' can both describe a woman who has a leadership role in a company. However, 'Geschäftsführerin' is more of a specific position: she manages the company or organization in day-to-day business. 'Unternehmerin' is broader and emphasizes that a woman owns or builds a company, or bears economic risk. An entrepreneur can also be a managing director, but not every managing director is automatically an entrepreneur. The words are easy to confuse because both sound like leadership. For the official function, 'Geschäftsführerin' fits better; for the person as an independent businessperson, 'Unternehmerin' fits.
