to mention
'erwähnen' and 'weglassen' are clear opposites when it comes to information in a conversation or text. 'erwähnen' means to briefly mention something without talking about it in detail. 'weglassen' means not to mention, not to write, or not to add something. If information is important, you should mention it. If it is unimportant or should deliberately not appear, you can leave it out.
Im Bericht lässt Lisa die privaten Details weg.
In the report, Lisa leaves out the private details.
Morgen erwähnt der Kunde im Gespräch auch die Probleme mit dem Hotel.
Tomorrow, the customer will also mention the problems with the hotel in the conversation.
