A forecast or report about expected weather conditions such as temperature, precipitation, and wind for a specific period of time and a specific region.

The word is made up of 'das Wetter' (weather) and 'der Bericht' (report). So it literally means a 'Bericht über das Wetter' (report about the weather).
Ich schaue mir jeden Morgen den Wetterbericht für den Tag an.

You can 'lesen' (read), 'hören' (hear/listen to), 'sehen' (see), or 'anschauen' (watch/look at) a weather report. The report itself 'sagt ... voraus' (predicts/forecasts), 'meldet' (reports), or 'kündigt an' (announces) something.

To refer to the information, the phrase 'Laut dem Wetterbericht ...' or 'Laut Wetterbericht ...' (according to the weather report) is very often used at the beginning of a sentence. The conjugated verb follows directly after it.

According to the weather report, it will snow at the weekend.

'der Wetterbericht' and 'die Wettervorhersage' are often used very similarly in everyday life. Both say what the weather will probably be like in the next few hours or days. 'Wettervorhersage' places more emphasis on looking into the future. 'Wetterbericht' can also sound like a report on the radio, on TV, or in an app in which the forecast is explained. Confusing them is usually not a big problem here, because both words fit in many situations. But if you are speaking specifically about the forecast, 'Wettervorhersage' is especially clear.
