Usage tips
Separable verb
'Ausnehmen' (to gut / exclude / rip off) is a separable verb. In a main clause, the prefix 'aus-' comes at the end. In subordinate clauses or in the infinitive with 'zu', the verb stays together.
EXAMPLE
Der Fischer nimmt den Fisch sofort aus.
The fisherman guts the fish immediately.
Ich helfe dir, weil ich dich nicht ausnehmen möchte.
