'der Aufbau' and 'der Einbau' can both have to do with assembling or installing. 'Aufbau' is used when something is put together from parts or erected, for example a shelf, a tent, or a stage. 'Einbau' is used when something is firmly placed into something larger, for example a window, an engine, or a kitchen. The words can be confused because both describe manual or construction-related work. The direction is important: With 'Aufbau', something comes into being as a whole; with 'Einbau', a part goes into an existing structure.
