naiv vs grün

green

'grün' and 'naiv' can both say about a person that they lack experience. 'grün' is used more when someone is new to a field and still has to learn. That can sound relatively neutral. 'naiv' more strongly means that someone thinks too simply or believes others too quickly. That often sounds more negative. Learners may confuse the words because both have to do with inexperience. If someone simply lacks practice, 'grün' fits better; if someone is too trusting, 'naiv' fits better.
