Usage tips
Word structure
The word is derived from 'die Perspektive' (perspective). The ending '-isch' makes it an adjective. So it describes something that has to do with a perspective—either temporal or spatial.
EXAMPLE
Aus heutiger Perspektive war die Entscheidung falsch.
From today's perspective, the decision was wrong.
Context clue
You can recognize the meaning from the context. If it is about the future, plans, or strategies, the temporal meaning is intended. If it is about art, drawing, or architecture, the spatial meaning is intended.
EXAMPLE
Perspektivisch müssen wir neue Mitarbeiter einstellen. (Zukunft)
In the long term, we will have to hire new employees. (future)
Sentence structure as an adverb
In the meaning 'concerning the future,' 'perspektivisch' (in the long term) is very often used as an adverb at the beginning of a sentence. Then the verb follows directly, and after that the subject.

Perspektivisch sehe ich für das Projekt gute Erfolgschancen.
