Berg and Hügel can both refer to a natural elevation in the landscape. Berg usually suggests something larger and higher, while Hügel refers to a smaller, often rounder elevation; however, the boundary is not fixed everywhere. Use Hügel for a relatively small elevation and Berg for a clearly larger one.
