'Verzieren' (to decorate) is an inseparable verb because it begins with the prefix 'ver-'. The prefix remains firmly attached to the verb stem 'zieren' in all conjugated forms and sentence positions.
Sie verziert den Kuchen für die Geburtstagsfeier.
She is decorating the cake for the birthday party.
If you want to say what something is decorated with, you use the preposition 'mit' followed by the dative. The pattern is: someone decorates something (accusative) with something (dative).
Er hat den Brief mit einer kleinen Zeichnung verziert.
He decorated the letter with a small drawing.
The reflexive form 'sich verzieren' is colloquial and means 'to make oneself scarce' or 'to disappear.' It is often used slightly ironically or jokingly and is not part of standard language.
Als er die Polizei sah, hat er sich schnell verziert.
When he saw the police, he quickly took off.
The two meanings are easy to distinguish: the standard meaning 'schmücken' (to decorate) is used with an accusative object. The colloquial meaning 'weggehen' (to leave) is always reflexive, that is, with 'sich'.

'verschwinden' and 'sich verzieren' can both have to do with leaving. 'verschwinden' is normal and can be neutral when someone is no longer visible. As a command, however, it often sounds rude. 'sich verzieren' in the meaning of 'to leave' is outdated or joking and sounds unusual today. In normal conversations, people almost always use 'verschwinden' or simply 'gehen'. 'sich verzieren' only fits at most if you intentionally want to sound old-fashioned or funny.

After the last song, the musician quickly took off.
Nach dem Streit verschwand Paul, ohne sich zu verabschieden.
After the argument, Paul disappeared without saying goodbye.
