'Zoff' (trouble/argument) is a colloquial word. Use it in informal conversations with friends or family, but avoid it in formal emails, official letters, or academic texts.
Ich hatte gestern voll den Zoff mit meinem Bruder.

'Zoff' (trouble/argument) is often combined with the verbs 'haben' (to have), 'bekommen' (to get), or 'machen' (to make/cause) to express that an argument exists, begins, or is caused.
Die beiden haben ständig Zoff miteinander.
The two of them are constantly arguing with each other.
To say whom you are having an argument with, you use the preposition 'mit' + dative. The reason for the argument is often expressed with 'wegen' + genitive (or colloquially + dative).
Sie hat Zoff mit ihrer besten Freundin.
She has an argument with her best friend.

Streit is the neutral everyday term for a disagreement between people. Zoff can mean the same thing, but is much more colloquial and often sounds more disorderly or heated, although it does not have to be. Use Streit in neutral situations and Zoff in casual language.
