Design vs Stil
style
'der Stil' and 'das Design' can both have to do with the appearance and design of things. 'Stil' describes more the recognizable type or direction, for example modern, classic, or simple. 'Design' refers more strongly to the deliberately planned form of a product, website, or graphic, often also with function in mind. Learners confuse the words because both can fit when talking about furniture, clothing, or websites. If you mean the general effect or type, 'Stil' fits. If you mean the specific design of a product, 'Design' is more precise.

Zu Hause mag sie einen einfachen Stil mit hellen Farben.
